FAQ

Here are some common questions. Feel free to reach out with any other questions or concerns.

How do we get started?
The first step is reaching out to set up a complimentary intro call, which is 15-30 minutes via secure video. For couples, it is best if you can be in the same location with your partner for this call. We will talk about your needs and see if we are a good fit. If not, we can refer you to other highly qualified providers in the DMV.

What's the process for couples therapy?
After the intro call, if we are a good fit, we can set up an 80 minute couples assessment. After that, you'll each have an individual one-on-one session for 50 minutes, followed by weekly 50 minute appointments all together.

What's the process for individual therapy?
After the intro call, if we are a good fit, we can set up a 60 minute assessment. After that, we usually set up weekly 50 minute appointments.

Do you see people every other week, once a month, or ad hoc?
In most cases, it's best to start with weekly appointments. This helps to establish rapport and build momentum. After a while, if you'd like to move to biweekly, we can talk about the options.

Do you offer virtual or in-person therapy?
We offer in-person therapy at our Farragut Square office on Mondays only. We also offer online therapy appointments on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. For online therapy, we offer services to anyone located in DC, Maryland, Virginia, or Massachusetts.

Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?
No, not at this time. Most appointments are between 9am and 5pm on weekdays.

Do you offer virtual therapy for couples in different locations?
No. To get the most out of your experience, we ask that you participate virtually from the same location.

Do you take insurance?
We do not take insurance. For more information, please visit the Fees page.
